Learn Polish language independently

Why Learn Polish Independently?

And why “school methods” probably failed you.

The problem is that foreign languages are taught at school using an unnatural system: go to class, learn vocabulary lists, memorize grammar rules… Your brain learns, but very slowly. It’s boring, so you have little motivation. Finally, you give up.

But think about how you learned your native language.

You learned it by listening for a long time. Then you tried to speak, and it became automatic. You didn’t study grammar books when you were 3 years old. You just acquired it.

The 5 Rules of Natural Learning

Rule 1: Context is King

Learn and repeat the whole sentence, not a single word. Every story I tell you is happening in a context. By understanding the context, you learn vocabulary and grammar automatically, unconsciously, and effortlessly.

Rule 2: Don’t Study Grammar

Grammar rules are just descriptions of habits. They were invented by linguists. Native speakers don’t think about rules when they speak. Don’t waste your time asking “why” – just follow the correct way.

Rule 3: Listen First

Listening is the key to speaking. You must fill your brain with sounds before you can produce them. My system is based on listening. To improve your Polish, all you have to do is listen a lot.

Rule 4: Deep Learning

Don’t rush. Listen to the same story several times. Repetition is the mother of skill. Play the same lesson every day for 3-4 days and you will see how words start to stick.

Rule 5: Natural Grammar (POV)

Use “Point of View” stories to learn grammar naturally. I re-tell the same story from different perspectives (Past, Future, etc.). This way, you learn how grammar changes without memorizing tables.
